with increased strength we get greater endurance and vigor.
Stress release- yoga helps us to stay more centered and grounded by opening the energy centers of the body. The breathing
and pacing of the practice helps to sooth our nervous systems.
Better health and weight loss- yoga helps to detoxify the body so we often find healthy foods more flavorful and junk
foods less appealing. We get more in touch with our bodies so we register when we are full and tend to eat less. Other detrimental habits also
become less appealing when we practice yoga.
Increased lung and heart capacity- breathing in yoga helps to make the lungs more elastic and pumps the blood full
of oxygen which circulates, strengthening the cardio vascular system.
Firmer sense of self- When we learn to do things
that challenge us in yoga poses then we find greater confidence to do things in our lives that make us complete.
