Patience
Armstrong is the founder and owner of the Artful Heart Yoga Studio and the North Raleigh School of Yoga. She is a Certified Anusara
Yoga teacher and a Yoga Alliance registered teacher at the E-RYT500 level. Patience has spent over 600 hours studying directly with John
Friend, Anusara’s founder, and was given the unique privilege of being mentored by him individually through her certification process, for
which she will always be grateful. In addition, she has taken a full year to study and practice meditation with Paul Muller Ortega PhD,
renowned tantric philosophy scholar. Her artistic nature is drawn to the creative and elegant quality of yoga postures while her analytical
side loves solving the puzzle of yoga therapy. For Patience, the physical practice didn’t come easily however, the spiritual and emotional
benefits of yoga were immediate and deep. One of the many things she appreciates about Anusara yoga is that it respects individuality while
it supports community. Patience’s teaching emphasizes self-honoring, loving-kindness and aspiring to the highest that is within each of
us. |
Kelly Klein has
been practicing various styles of yoga since 1999. She will complete her 200 RYT in April with the North Raleigh School of Yoga. Kelly has
also been a kindergarten teacher with Wake County Public Schools for 9 years and loves bringing the joy of yoga to children. She has had many
great teachers, but credits her mentor, Patience Armstrong with helping her deepen her practice physically and spiritually. She is inspired
by helping students try new things, and loves seeing the delight in their eyes when they expand their own practice. |
Tracy Morris is a full-time environmental scientist, who often brings her love of Nature into the
yoga studio. Practicing yoga since 1999, she has had the opportunity to sample many styles of yoga, but connected instantly with Anusara’s
detailed alignment principles and uplifting philosophy. Tracy studies with Patience and has also attended workshops with John Friend and Professor
Douglas Brooks, and will complete the 200 hr teacher’s certification in April 2010. She hopes students will give Anusara a try and find balance,
experience peace and shine it out in their lives. |
