There is no doubt Yoga along with meditation and a healthy lifestyle is truly a helpful combination to achieve longevity. This has been proven by these Yogis who are already in their 90s.

If you want to ask advice on longevity, these are the right people to ask about it. I first see this 95-year-old Turkish yogi and I think he’s really an inspiration of health and wellness.

Then, I stumbled upon the oldest Yoga teacher recognized by the Guinness World Records. It ain’t stop there, as I found a weight lifter who is 98 years old this October, and what’s more… 118 Grandmaster.

Tao Porchon-Lynch 96 Years Old Yoga Teacher

Kazım Gürbüz 95 Year Old Turkish Yogi

Kazım Gürbüz is a 95-year-old yoga master who doesn’t look like in his 90s. In fact, looking at him he looks like in his 50s. The great thing about this 95-year-old yogi, he still enjoys an active sex life and he believed everyone can live up to 130 years of age. I think his belief made him look and feel younger.

Mind stuff matters and yoga and/or meditation are both helpful in achieving and maintaining youthful appearance, as well as mental outlook.

Unfortunately, he seems not to speak English. Still, here are two videos of him. To learn more about him, he has a Facebook page for you to visit, or be a fan of him.

I’m sure there are others who are in their 90s practicing Yoga and meditation. And, it’s not just old people practicing the Yoga, but on other sports as well like weight lifting and martial arts.

95 Year Old Weight Lifter Merrill Matzinger

Merril Matzinger is 95 years old as shown in the video, which was filmed back in 2010. He was born on October 5, 1915, and although there is not much news of him recently, I think he’s still alive and turning 100 years old this coming October.

He lives in Salt Late City, Utah where he practiced sports for decades. In the video, he demonstrated his daily routine with stomach crunch of 1500 reps as his warm-up. During his interview at 98 years old, he stated he hadn’t missed a single workout routine for the past two decades.

118 yr old Grandmaster Lu Zijian

Lu Zijian is popular for the various achievements in Taoist Alchemy and Qigong, internal martial arts, as well as Chinese traditional medicine and painting.

Through these excellent achievements converging into a single mind and body, he was able t reached the age of 118 with a bright spirit. In this short video demo below, he demonstrated the Emei form at the Szechuan Province.

If you want to learn more about him, I think the best place to start is his website at luzijian.com, or visit him at his place.
